Hawks Nest at The Franklin Institute
Hawks Nest at The Franklin Institute, a set on Flickr.
The hawks 3 eggs have hatched, and I picked the perfect time to set up a shoot... dinner time for the baby hawks!
The nest is built on a ledge of the Franklin's 3rd floor.
Very challenging shoot- through dark dirty glass, in shadow against a bright background, and because I didn't want to disturb them, I shot with no flash.
Overall I think I caught a few great moments :)

Philadelphia Science Festival "Astronomy Night"
Philadelphia Science Festival "Astronomy Night" , a set on Flickr.
The sky was crystal clear and the weather was perfect for "Astronomy Night" in Philly.
Stargazing sites were were set up at community centers, parks, and charter schools in neighborhoods across the city.
Observatories at Drexel University, University of Pennsylvania and The Franklin Institute opened their doors to the public.
The evening also featured a special appearance by NASA astronaut Guy Bluford, who returned to his West Philly roots to share his adventures in space at the University of the Sciences.
